Original documentary and field investigation

Briar Lane

An original documentary and field investigation following a nearly erased service road toward a structure visible only from above.

A wet overgrown drive leading to a weathered farmhouse at blue hour

The first phase of Briar Lane begins with a mismatch between the record and the ground: a roofline remains visible in recent aerial imagery, while the old service road has disappeared beneath fallen timber and years of growth.

Our compact field unit is documenting the approach before drawing conclusions. The visual plan pairs patient exterior observation with practical survey images, preserving uncertainty and the physical scale of the route. Research, access, direction, field production, and cinematography remain together in one small team so each decision can respond to what the location allows.
